CaRaVaN Open Mic + Open Stage is completely volunteer-run. The day-to-day costs of running CaRaVaN in the winter months is thankfully minimal, besides the time spent planning and hosting the events, as well as website and graphics updates. However, come May through September, the costs expand incredibly:
- Fees for renting Old Market Square for our Monday nights at the Cube
- Sound and lighting equipment upgrades
- Streaming app fees
In order to operate, we rely on generous donations from audience members and participants, along with sponsorships from local businesses and arts organizations.
Donations can be made via our donation jar on Monday nights, through Interac e-transfer to firstname.lastname@example.org, or via this PayPal donation page (or directly to email@example.com). Every little bit helps!
We’ve been lucky enough to have great sponsorship in past years from local businesses in the Exchange District. If you’re interested in supporting the work we do with CaRaVaN — either for the summer at Old Market Square or for the entire year — please get in touch with us at firstname.lastname@example.org! In return for your support, your restaurant, business, or organization will be mentioned and thanked regularly during all our events; your logo will appear on all of our promotional material (social media events and graphics, physical posters throughout downtown); your banner can be hung and displayed on Monday nights; and you’ll be helping to support a unique space for artists of all experience levels and genres to perform.
